A friend tipped me off to the availability of these inspiring and informative audio recordings of an all-day workshop involving lectures, reflections and Q&A, led by Jean Vanier (founder of L'arche) and Stanley Hauerwas, professor of theological ethics at Duke University Divinity School. This event was part of the Teaching Communities program, conducted Nov 8-10, 2008 at the Duke Center for Reconciliation.
The theme was "Living Gently in a Violent World" and the focus is on engaging a Christian vision of peace and life though the lens of residents of the L’Arche community.
A book published in Sept 2008, with the same title, authored by these two gentlemen, is also available.
